CNY

Still not too bad, this CNY. At least had some activities...

Watched CJ7 on New Year Eve after a meal with family. It was not bad, though not as funny as Stephen Chow's other shows. I guess I was expecting more slapstick humour (though there were a few memorable ones). And that CJ7 was too cutesy and CGI-ed for me. I realise two common things about his films:

1) he likes to build the story around an underdog character. Could be somemore who is dirty, or stupid, or clumsy, or fat, and disliked by society, but somemore whothrough sheer perseverance (and something funny/lame) manage to emerge as a 'hero' in the end. Think Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.

And 2) there will always be a pretty lady introduced.
